Joint Affinity Groups, a collaborative of Asian American Pacific Islanders In Philanthropy, Association of Black Foundation Executives, Disability Funders Network, Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues, Hispanics in Philanthropy, Native Americans in Philanthropy and Women's Funding Network, ran an open letter on the issues to our sector in the February 12 edition of the Chronicle of Philanthropy. National Committee on Responsive Philanthropy's report, Criteria for Philanthropy at its Best: Benchmarks to Assess and Enhance Grantmaker Impact, spurred a great deal of debate on both sides of the issues. In fact, the NCRP press alert released in advance of the report predicted such resistance.
